About Silver Marks

Silver Roman Denarius

In looking for a way to encourage visitors to explore jackwhyte.com, we've come up with Silver Marks. Almost every European civilization-up until the late medieval times (and in Scotland until the 17th Century) used silver marks as a standard medium of currency... Not as precious as gold, but nothing was and most ordinary people lived their entire lives without seeing or handling a gold coin... Copper was common, but a silver mark held noteworthy value.

So, as you engage with jackwhyte.com, you'll notice a block on the right hand side of the screen begin to tally what you've been doing. It's a new system and we'll be fine tuning it, but the goal in the near term is come up with some rewards for those earning lots of Silver Marks. The rewards will be everything from autographed editions to Jack's books, to discounts on future sales, access to even earlier drafts of new works and other products and services.
