First of all, it's nice to see the site back up period. It must have taken some work to do - those lousy, good-for-nothing, rotten hackers! Secondly, it's nice to have the Old Forum back up and running, I had wondered what had happened to it.
As for the site, I guess we need to work on beefing up the Web Links page - it's a bit skinny at the moment. [i:]I wonder if that audio link that Chief Scott posted way back on the Old Forum is still functional?[/i:] I'll see if I can find anything good in a web search.
It would be nice to get rid of those little red x boxes down the left-hand side when you click on most of the links in the Main Menu section.
Now, as for the message-board ...
I'm wondering why we can't edit our posts - when you click the edit button you get accused of a hacking attempt.
I'm not all that wild about this "Karma" function.
It would be nice if the most recently added to threads were brought up to the top of the list of threads, rather than staying put in the same location.
And I'm wondering why it is that we don't seem to be able to post images less than 150 pixels in width?
And ... well, the site is pretty slow a lot of the time. I guess this probably has something to do with server capacity, but it does get quite annoying at times.
It would appear that the audio link in the Web Links section is, in fact, the one submitted by Chief Scott on the Old Forum. It also appears to be a dead link now. The first link on that page is dead, as well.
I did find a couple of interesting Jack Whyte-related audio links in a web search:
Seems a Vancouver Island man has recorded a CD, and one of the songs on it is inspired by the Dream of Eagles cycle. It's called "Captain of the Guards", and a 2 minute long excerpt of it can be heard here:

And I know on the Old Forum we had several people from Italy post from time to time. There seems to be some kind of audio files in zip form available in Italian online. I'm not sure if it's a complete reading in Italian of the books or just what it is, but here's the link for them:
