Differing editions

Jack - or Anyone?

What is the difference between the Canadian and United States editions? I seem to remember that the old website had some discussion by Jack of the differences. It included more than just changing valour to valor and honour to honor.

Also, are all volumes of "eagles" in print in Canada? I go to Ontario every October to visit friends (and my godchildren) for Thanksgiving and could probably find a bookstore to get the Canadian editions at sometime on the drive up or back.

Jack, if you read this I have loved the Arthurian stories since I was a kid. (50 years ago maybe) The best to my mind are the Camulod/Eagles but I like all of them really.

Adding to my question, Chapters/Indigo shows paperbacks by Tor, Forge and Penguin. Which are which. Is Penguin CA and the others US?

The only book I know of where there are any significant changes, other than accounting for the differences in spelling between Canada and the US, is "The Skystone". In the Canadian version, there's a lot more to Publius' recovery from his battle injuries, and in the US version, the character of Luceiia is fleshed out a bit more. There has also been a bit of discussion in respect to the US versions not being editted as well as they should have, resulting in some spelling mistakes and whatnot.

All volumes of the books are still in print, but whether or not a store you might go into has them all in stock at the time you're there is another thing altogether. You'd probably have the best chance of finding most of them, if not all, if you go into a very large store like Chapters/Indigo.

As for your second post, the Tor/Forge books are the US (and International English language) versions, and the Penguin books are the Canadian. There are slight differences in the titles between the Canadian and US/Internationl versions:

Re:Differing editions

It would seem that there are also some significant changes made to the US version of [i:]The Singing Sword[/i:] as well. Thought you'd like to hear it from "The Man Himself" as to the changes between Canadian and US versions of the books:
