Northwest Passages reply

Hi,

I'm just in discussion with the publicity person about what they are planning to do and what we can do - I don't know if we will be doing signed books again as we are moving to Vancouver at the end of the month and it would then be a really really long drive to get to Jack's place. Where we live right now it is only 2 hours to get to Jack - hence it was easy to go down and go for beers and do the signing.

However - never say never - I know Jack is willing to do signing again so we will see. I know that all the fans are chomping at the bit to know what we are going to do and I promise to send out an e-mail as soon as we have it all worked out.

We have to go through the publisher's publicity person for Jack - we cant just work something out with Jack directly. So of course everything takes longer...

Sarah

Is there any information on a signed copy of the latest book being released in October?

Hi, everyone:

Paul, I spoke with Karen McMullin at penguin publicity yesterday and told her to go ahead and make whatever arrangements are necessary to bring us together for a signing while I'm in Vancouver—probably early in November.

The Official Release Date for the book is now November 19th, and everything is well in hand to meet that date . . . I finished the copy edit a full week ahead of schedule and I;m now proofing the galleys.

For those of you who0 may not have noticed, there's a new page in the Site, called "Calendar". Check it out, and then stay tuned. It already has a few dates entered for October and November, but there will be lots more information—events, times, venues and topics—published as it becomes available.

Paul:

The reference in the foregoing post to my arrival in Vancouver should have read "probably early in December" . . . not November. Sorry about that.
