Looking up Rome on the imdb I clicked on one of the actors name and saw that he is also in a movie for next year called "The Last Legion"
I clicked on it and it is another historical epic based on Arthur (and, I guess, Romulus Augustus).
But, instead of having him die (Romulus that is), the movie starts at his losing the empire and fleeing with a roman legion to Britain where he joins forces with Ambrosious and Aurelius (obviously two characters based on Ambrosious Aurelanus) played by Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley and becomes "a new myth, destined to span the centuries".
Hmm... Ambrosius... Britain... 476... I wonder what this "myth" could be?
Sigh. Hopefully it's better than Bruckhiemer's version. At least it isn't claiming to be accurate.

The Last Legion, based on the book of the same name by Valerio Massimo Manfredi.
Not a very involved story line but could make a halfway decent "escape/adventure" movie.
I have been stewing about this for a long time. If they can do Rome again.They at HBO really need to look to Mr. Whyte for a real historial fiction about Arthur. Could you just picture the books in a movie style format? I feel so sorry for our childern who do not even know who "King Arthur" is or was. And the movies that Hollywood has done is so boring and lacking! Is there anyway that we can ban together and contact HBO with a plea to do the series?
With a note to Mr. Whyte, you are by far my favorite author of all time! I have read the great works and many on Arthur. But, no one is loved as much as you!
